Foreign Institutions and Entities of Concerns

In June 2023, the Department of Defense (DoD) released a policy addressing unwanted foreign influence on DoD-funded research. The policy indicated DoD will conduct risk-based security reviews and assess conflicts of interest, conflicts of commitment, and collaboration with foreign entities confirmed to engage in malign activities.

Two resources Baylor faculty, staff, and community of scholars could use to review foreign entities are DoD’s foreign entities list and the China Defence Universities Tracker, which the Australian Strategic Policy Institute maintains.
